There are many tools available that help us take control of our digital privacy. Melissa Seelye and I created an Online Privacy Guide to help the general public to better understand their privacy rights and to reclaim their privacy in online spaces.
We also put on a workshop in partnership with an art exhibition curated by Mitra Shreeram and organized by the McIntosh Gallery. This presentation was then repeated to a small audience at Huron College.
We created enough buzz that Melissa and I even had the opportunity to talk about the importance of digital privacy live on CBC Radio London. While we were only on the air for about 5 minutes, we shared some quick facts about what information our favourite apps are collecting about us.
